Still, storahci.sys driver needs to be fixed by Microsoft so there is no blue screen. So, this shows that whatever is causing the crash is specific to version 1703. I thought that the fact that version 1607 doesn't crash is because the version of storahci.sys is different (older), so I substituted storahci.sys version 3.332 in Windows version 1703 with version 3.953 from Windows version 1607, but theĬrash was still happening. Probably caused by : storahci.sys ( storahci!AhciHwStartIo+f9 ) Defaulted to export symbols for nvlddmkm.sys. *** ERROR: Symbol file could not be found. My limited ability to use the Windows Debugger shows that the driver that is crashing is storahci.sys.īugCheck 7E, However the system doesn't seem to recognize the controller. With version 1607 there is no blue screen, And this is happening only with Windows version 1703. I don't need to connect any drives to the controller. I have to say that the mere presence of the controller is enough. When I install any SATA adapter (I've tried with ASMedia and Marvell based PCI-E controllers) there is a blue screen just seconds after the system starts booting. I have nothing but trouble with my new system based on ASUS Crosshair VI Hero.
